What is your choice - Ford Figo Aspire or Maruti Swift Dzire?

Ford Figo Aspire :

The Aspire is an eye catching vehicle. The bold Aston Martin-inspired front grille is the most prominent feature up front. The headlamps and the car's waistline enhance the overall look of the car, giving it a bold, sporty image.

Maruthi Swift Dzire :

The Swift Dzire has been around for long and it recently had a face-lift. The significant upgrade to the cars tall design are the headlamps and the chrome touch for the front grille.

Ford Figo Aspire :

The Aspire is priced between INR 4.89 lakh to INR 8.24 lakh.

Maruthi Swift Dzire :

The Dzire starts from INR 5.16 lakh and the top of the line variant is priced at INR 7.90 lakh.

Ford Figo Aspire :

The Figo Aspire comes loaded with features such as leather seats MyFord Dock SYNC with AppLink, MyKey technology, USB and Aux-in connectivity, power-folding ORVMs, automatic climate control and lots of storage places.

Maruthi Swift Dzire :

The Dzire on the other hand, features engine start/stop button, an accessory socket for the rear seats, audio system with bluetooth connectivity and reverse parking sensor.

Engine Specification

Ford Figo Aspire : The Aspire is available with a choice of three engine options—a 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 88 PS a 1.5-litre petrol engine that produces 112 PS and a 1.5-litre diesel engine that produces 100 PS. The engines are mated to a manual or an automatic gearbox.

Maruthi Swift Dzire :The Dzire is offered with a choice of either a 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 83 PS of power or a 1.3-litre Fiat-sourced turbo diesel engine that produces 75 PS. Like the Aspire, the Dzire too is offered with an automatic transmission.

This is an area of concern for many Indian customers.

The Figo Aspire delivers 18.2 kpl with the petrol engine and 25.8 kpl for the diesel engine.

The Dzire returns a fuel efficiency of 20.85 with the petrol engine while the diesel engine delivers 26.59 kpl.

This is another criteria which is of growing concern in India. Improved safety features are increasingly becoming a standardised feature in the country. The Figo Aspire comes with standard dual airbags for the front, while the top end version gets six airbags, including side and curtain airbags. This is one important feature the Dzire misses out on aside from the top end variant, which gets two airbags.

Ford has surely got the right product for India with the Aspire's performance, safety, features, and most importantly, the pricing. What gives the Dzire an edge over the Aspire is Maruti's service network which is found in every nook and corner. It comes down to whether you wish to aspire towards value for money or desire ease of service.
